London Mozart Players quartet with Clarinettist, Michael Collins

2 October, 7:30 pm - 9:40 pm

Led by the incredibly talented violinist, Ruth Rogers and featuring Mozart’s famous Clarinet Quintet,  this concert will certainly ensure that Churchill Music’s new concert series begins with an explosion of music to rekindle our spirits.
A critic from Gramophone Magazine wrote: “Michael Collins plays with an irresistible exuberance that I’ve not heard equalled.” His dazzling virtuosity and sensitive musicianship has rightly caused him to become a household name.
In this concert Michael joins up with the principal string players from the London Mozart Players.  Ruth Rogers is well known to Churchill Music concert-goers not only for her talent but also for her very special rapport with the audience ensuring that we all feel drawn in to their performance.  In addition to the timeless musical masterpiece – Mozart’s famous Clarinet Quintet, the concert will be launched with the joyful Haydn String Quartet.  We will also be treated to the sparkling and extremely virtuosic quintet by Weber.  This celebratory programme should provide a tonic to the trials and tribulations of the past locked-down period and is surely a concert not to be missed!
Churchill Music is looking forward to welcoming our audiences again.  Rest assured, we will be COVID-aware and do everything possible to ensure your concert experience is the best possible.
